Attendance and Absences
School attendance is very important and we aim for all students to be achieving 90% or above in their attendance. Teachers monitor their class's attendance and will follow up on all absences. The school follows the department's Attendance Policy and will take appropriate action to assist parent/s in getting their children to school.
There are a number of different ways in which you can notify the school of the reason for your child/ren's absences:
Writing a note or a direct email to the class teacher
Using the SkoolBag app
Telephoning the school
Using OutReach
OutReach
The school uses OutReach - formerly Message You. It is an SMS notification system that used the school attendance information and then notifies both parents your child's absence. The message will be sent out a 10am. It also gives parents the opportunity to reply to the message to notify the school of the reason for the absence. It also sends out a reminder 8 days later, if a reason has not been recorded.
